Three roadside signs stand side by side in this triptych: a turquoise RESTAURANT sign on tall dark posts, the ROY'S MOTEL CAFE sign with its red star, and a narrow vertical MOTEL sign beside a receding line of utility poles. Each rises into a blue sky that warms toward the horizon, and each panel is bordered by a strip of topographic map.

Part of Dennis Johnson's Route 66 Series. Digital print, 12" x 27", 2018, edition of 10.

The signs also appear on their own in Route 66 Series—Road Runner Restaurant, Route 66 Series—Roy's Motel and Cafe and Route 66 Series—Bagdad Motel.
