Palm Springs & the California Desert

Early sun turns the mountain behind Palm Springs a deep red-orange, while four tall fan palms stand in front of it against a clear blue sky. Along the bottom edge, the flat roofs and colored panels of two mid-century modern houses anchor the scene.

Dennis Johnson painted this view in acrylic on canvas. 30" x 40", 2017.

More from the Coachella Valley: Cactus Springs, Pink Elephant and Hacienda Rivera.
